Home Fest at Community Book Center in New Orleans, LA during July 2013

July 2013 Newsletter View this email in your browser Dear Friends,  Happy 4th of July and mid-summer!   I would like to invite you to an art market and exhibit, a children's workshop, and an art talk I will be involved in at Community Book Center (located at 2523 Bayou Road in New Orleans) this month.  The first two events are part of Community Book Center's Home Fest 2013 Celebration, which includes music, readings, cooking, and art.  Here is a link to the official flier on my Facebook page. On Friday, July 5th and Saturday, July 6th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 7th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. I will be showing my artwork at Community Book Center.  I call it an ART MARKET and EXHIBIT, since the work will also be also be available to purchase.   On Saturday, July 6th from 12 to 2:00 p.m.  I will teach a free Children's Art Workshop.  Children ages 7 to 12 will create paintings based on the colors in a William H. Johnson painting.  To sign up contact Jennifer Turner at 505-948-READ (7323).   Lastly, on Saturday, July 13th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. I will give an Art Talk about my current work at Community Book Center.  If you are in New Orleans I will send you a reminder about this event the day before.
