Over the summer I researched the best drawing markers and pens. My dilemma was that I like the brightness of colorful sharpies, but they are not archival. "An archival material should ... have good aging properties” (Artist's Magazine). As a result, I have begun to use Faber-Castell brush pens, as in "Woman with Daisies Side View" above. I also continue to do pencil drawings, as in "Listening Woman" above. My drawings are also a little larger, 18" x 24".  I am inspired by a few collaborations with women and fellow artists I am participating in that are allowing my drawings to have a voice of their own. One collaboration is with Kenetha Harrington's upcoming horror film. She includes my drawings as props in her storyline. My sister, Courtney Bryan also plans to include my portraits in her sound piece exhibit scheduled for May. Also, I plan to collaborate with Courtney and Kenetha in my upcoming group exhibit called P4: Scavengers with the Art Klub. I will exhibit five portrait drawings from November 16, 2017 to February 25, 2018 there. The performance collaboration with music from Courtney and character personifications by Kenetha is planned for January 27th from 7 to 9PM. I hope if you are in town you can come.
