I am not in Ghana yet. I have been moving out of my house, though, and making preparations. I became a homeowner in 2011 and below is a painting my sister, Alma Bryan Powell, did about that called "My Sister's New House". As you can see, the walls are empty, but there is a child's toy in the foreground that belongs to her son. My sister, Courtney, is also in the painting. This painting says it all about that time period up to now and it is my "art to share". I will leave it up to your interpretation. Moving out of my house and preparing to rent it out made me think of this painting.
My Sister, Alma, is a painter and we attended Howard University in Washington DC together. She was an undergraduate while I was a graduate student in the Art Department. We both graduated in 2002. Then she went on to earn her Master of Fine Arts from University of California at Davis in 2005. Her art bog is http://almabryanpowell.tumblr.com/ and she may be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
